From one-person classes to a thriving breathwork business
From One-Person Classess to a Thriving Business
When we first started running breathwork sessions, I’d already been practicing for a couple of years and felt confident in the work itself.
What I didn’t feel confident in was knowing what to do when.
When someone was having a big experience…
Do I step in or let it naturally unfold?
How could I support them best in that moment?
Those questions were always in the back of my mind.
At the same time, another reality was pressing…
We needed to start making money, and quickly.
So I leaned on what I knew best… events.
(Yes, I was once an event manager… but that’s another story!)
So… thinking strategically…
We partnered with a float center that had a yoga space, mats, bolsters, and (most importantly) a community list.
That partnership gave us a launchpad.
Not every session we ran was full.
Sometimes it was just one person showing up, especially at off-peak times.
But those moments taught us a valuable lesson:
Success doesn’t come from waiting until everything is perfect…
It comes from showing up, again and again, and learning what works and what doesn’t.
Looking back, I realize those early challenges mirror what our graduates face today.
The two biggest questions are always:
- What do I do when my client is having a big response?
- How do I start finding more clients and opportunities?
That’s why this final week of our Behavioral Breathwork Facilitator Training is so important.
It’s not just about wrapping up…
It’s about equipping facilitators to move from practice into service, with the tools, templates, and confidence to begin sharing their work in the real world.
For me, it feels like a full-circle moment.
The same lessons that helped us grow from one-person classes into a sustainable business are now the lessons we get to pass on…
Helping facilitators shortcut their learning curve and get straight to the results that matter.
Win, win, win all around.
For anyone stepping into facilitation, remember this:
You don’t need to have it all figured out before you begin.
What matters most is showing up, practicing, and sharing your work.
Everything else unfolds with time.

Featured Insight of the Week...
Confidence Through Conversation
When we first started our breathwork business, we’d be at a networking event, a family gathering, or even just chatting with a friend, and someone would ask,
“So, what do you do?”
How do I explain breathwork in a way that’s clear, compelling, and doesn’t leave them confused… or thinking I’m a little weird?
For many new facilitators, this moment feels awkward at first.
But here’s the truth:
Getting clients doesn’t begin with funnels, ads, or a polished website.
It starts with conversations.
Each time you share what you do, you’re not just telling your story…
You’re building your confidence in it.
This week in our Behavioral Breathwork Facilitator Training,
we explored how articulating your message out loud,
again and again,
transforms hesitation into confidence.
Whether you’re practicing with a colleague
or explaining it casually to a new connection,
repetition makes it natural.
What once felt like stumbling through words
becomes a confident declaration of how you
help people regulate, release, and reconnect with their breath.
And here’s the power of that repetition:
People need to hear your message
multiple times,
in different contexts,
to really understand how it fits into their world.
It might land in a quick chat today,
a social post tomorrow,
or a workshop next week.
Inside our training, we share the exact frameworks we use…
From AI prompts to brand voice guides…
So you can shape your message in a way that feels
authentic, repeatable, and unique to you.
And if you want to turn conversations into confidence
And confidence into clients…

Facilitator Recap of the Week...
Getting Clients & Next Steps
This week marked the close of our current round of Behavioral Breathwork Facilitator Training and the focus was on one of the biggest milestones for every facilitator…
Learning how to get clients.
Because here’s the thing…
Certification is just the beginning.
The real next step is putting yourself out there…
Sharing what you do, who you help, and why it matters.
It’s about moving from practice into service, where your work reaches the people who need it most.
Inside the training, we broke this down into practical steps:
- Identifying your ideal client avatar and understanding where breathwork fits into their life.
- Learning to articulate your message so it lands clearly and confidently.
- Beginning to share it everywhere… in conversations, posts, workshops, and beyond.
This final week wasn’t about “finishing” the training.
It was about beginning the real work:
Stepping into the world as a facilitator.
As we wrapped up, the focus shifted to what comes next—how to share your work, where to find support, and how to keep building momentum. Out of these conversations, something new was born: The Facilitator Studio.
The Facilitator Studio is designed exclusively for Behavioral Breathwork Facilitator graduates. It was created by listening to what facilitators need most: a place to strengthen confidence, deepen facilitation skills, and build a sustainable holistic wellness business. More details are coming soon, but we’re excited about what this means for our growing community.
