A Migraine. A Pattern. The Breathing That Changed Everything.

Small Shifts. Big Relief.

Working one-to-one with clients is some of the most rewarding work we’ve ever done.

There’s something powerful about creating a space where someone isn’t just practicing a technique... they’re discovering something about themselves.

Sometimes that discovery sparks a big, transformative change.
Other times, it’s a subtle shift that changes how they meet everyday stress.

Like one client I worked with...
She used to get debilitating migraines right before her period. The pain would sometimes leave her bedridden for days, and no one could figure out why.

As we explored her breathing patterns, she noticed something surprising:
In the days leading up to her period, her breath became shallow and erratic... almost as if her body was bracing for the stress before it arrived.

With a few simple breathing strategies and increased awareness, things began to change.

The migraines didn’t vanish overnight... but they became more manageable.

She could function.
She wasn’t stuck in bed as often.

That’s the power of this work:
Teaching people to notice their internal patterns and meet themselves with new tools, new awareness, and new choices.

This is why we need more facilitators doing this work.
Because even the smallest shift can change everything.

In Gratitude,
Angie (and Shane) Saunders

Featured Insight of the Week...

Transformational, Client-Led Breathwork

Breathwork is deceptively simple-and profoundly revealing.

In Week 3 of the Behavioral Breathwork Facilitator Training, we explored how to guide one-to-one sessions using the A.I.R. Framework: Awareness, Intervention, Reinforcement.

In Week 3 of the Behavioral Breathwork Facilitator Training, we explored how to guide one-to-one sessions using the A.I.R. Framework: Awareness, Intervention, Reinforcement.

At the heart of this model is partnership…

As Angie shared in the session,

“Your client is partnering with their body. You’re partnering with your client. So you’re all working together to figure out what’s going to work for them.”

Through inquiry and observation, facilitators begin to uncover how the breath reflects deeper behaviors... whether it’s holding during emotional tension, rushing the exhale under pressure, or subtly disconnecting during conversation.

This week’s insight?
Facilitation isn’t about fixing.
It’s about creating the conditions for meaningful discovery... where the breath reveals the behavior, and the client leads the way back to balance.

Facilitator Recap of the Week...

From Blueprint to Breakthroughs One-to-One Breathwork in Action

This week, we mapped out the foundation of client-led sessions... exploring how to tailor interventions to real-life issues like anxiety, performance stress, or postural tension using the tools of behavioral breathwork.

Here’s what we covered:

The A.I.R. Framework
Begin with Awareness: observe the client’s baseline breath without trying to change it. Move into Intervention: introduce breathing shapes or movement to support regulation. Finish with Reinforcement: help the client integrate what works into their daily life.

This approach keeps the session personalized... not protocol-driven.

Client Discovery Through Inquiry
We leaned into curiosity this week. Our New Client Questionnaire helps facilitators identify patterns, triggers, and goals.

As Angie said, "You’re not telling them how they’re feeling. You’re asking them clarifying questions.”

This opens the door to trust, collaboration, and deeper insight.

Breathwork Is Simple… and Complex
As one facilitator on the course this week said, “It’s so simple—and yet so complex.”

Yes! This practice asks us to hold the science (like CO₂ physiology) alongside the emotion (like fear or overwhelm).

It’s not about giving answers... it’s about guiding awareness.

Empowering Through Partnership
Transformation happens when the facilitator, client, and body are working together.

That shift from 'trying to fix' to 'gently guiding' makes all the difference.

✨ This week also marked the launch of our Facilitator Workroom!
A live, collaborative space where our students practice 1:1 sessions with each other. It’s a supportive place to grow skills, receive feedback, and deepen confidence.

Next week, we’ll shift focus to adaptive group sessions... how to hold space for many while still honoring individual needs.

If this kind of learning speaks to you, the next cohort begins in October... we'd love to welcome you to our Facilitator Community.

When Experience Meets Evolution

One-to-One Coaching for Gen X Professionals

You’ve built a lot.
Career. Family. Maybe even your own business.

But at this stage (late 30s to 50s) something shifts.
The old ways of pushing don’t work the same.
You feel the quiet pressure of change.

You crave clarity. Energy that lasts. And choices that actually feel like you.

That’s where GenX Coaching comes in.

This is my private coaching pathway for professionals ready to navigate the next chapter with less force and more alignment.

It’s not about flipping everything upside down.

It’s about evolving with intention…
Using simple tools and personal insight to cultivate sustainable energy, smarter decisions, and a new level of grounded leadership.

Here’s what makes this different?

  • Your Body’s Blueprint: We look at your unique health needs and energy patterns to suggest leveraged habits that keep you going strong… no hacks or overhauls.
  • Timing & Decision-Making:  Using a personal map (like your birth chart or inner strengths profile), you’ll start to feel when it’s time to pause, act, or shift direction.
  • Solid Leadership: Move from force to flow. No hustle. Just sustainable energy you can lead with… for decades.

This approach follows four core phases:

  1. Activate Your Power – Identify the habits and patterns draining your energy.
  2. Align Your Cycles – Fine-tune your daily rhythm for better flow.
  3. Master Timing – Make decisions in sync with your internal compass.
  4. Sustain & Grow – Strengthen the practices that support long-term momentum.

It’s personal. Flexible. And designed to grow with you.

As one client said,

“I’ve never felt more clear—and I’m finally playing my own game.”

If this sparks something, stay tuned... I’ll share more insights in future newsletters.

But if you're curious now… hit reply and I will personally answer any questions you have about the sessions or schedule a time to see if it's right for you.

Here's to your next steps,
Shane Saunders

Subtle Changes. Big Shifts. Why experience beats theory every time…
When Personal Practice Comes First When we first started exploring breathwork, I wasn’t ready to facilitate for others. At that time, with young children at home, my priority was my own practice and my own health… both physically and mentally. Shane and I practiced two to four times a week, anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour each session. We kept this rhythm for more than a year, explor...
She’d never had a panic attack… until the breathwork started.
When "Good" Breathing Makes Things Worse At the end of one of our group sessions, a participant came up to us visibly shaken.  During the breathwork session, she’d experienced what felt like a panic attack... tight chest, racing thoughts, overwhelm. She told us afterward that she doesn’t typically experience anxiety, and had never had a panic attack before. She was confused. Not just by what h...
The Smallest Shift That Changed Everything
When "Good" Breathing Makes Things Worse This week in our Facilitator Workroom, we worked with a client whose intake questionnaire revealed a clear pattern around emotional stress. As we explored her breathing together, she began to notice how her body responded when she felt overwhelmed.  I asked her to bring on the feeling of stress... then simply observe. Next, I invited her to do the thin...
